75 Billionth Hand to be Dealt at PokerStars Soon

January 31, 2012

PokerStars’s 75 billionth hand will be dealt in the next few days. This is a major milestone hand, which will be celebrated with a promotional offer. It is also part of a bigger promotion called Road to 100 Billion. Every five billionth hand dealt to players at PokerStars is considered a milestone, and is usually accompanied by a big prize.

Regular Milestone Mark

To qualify for the promotion, members of PokerStars will have to take part in the cash games at the site and hope that they get dealt a millionth hand between 74,700,000,000 and 75,000,000,000. These are also referred to as the 300 regular milestone hands. The player who gets such a hand stands the chance to win a cash prize worth thousands of dollars. The player who gets the 75 billionth hand will get a minimum of $20,000.

PokerStars’ promotional page features a counter which indicates the total number of hands dealt. Players can use this to check how close they are to the 75 billionth hand.

Players dealt a regular milestone hand will get a cash prize worth $60 for every VIP Player Point (VPP) they add to their account from the fifty hands played prior to the 75 billionth. All other players who enter the hand will get $20 as a basic prize. Players who win a part of the main pot will have their prize money doubled.

Mega Milestone Mark

When the poker room reaches the Mega Milestone, it will reward all players dealt into the hand. $1,000 will be given for each VPP accumulated from fifty previous hands. In addition to this, a basic prize of $10,000 will be given to all the players in the hand. The player who wins the Mega Milestone will get double the prize money. If the pot gets split, the prize money will be doubled. There are two situations in which this can happen – when a hand is tied or in a game that follows a split pot format.

How the VIP System Works at PokerStars

PokerStars’ VIP system is considered among the best in the world of online poker. All players are entered into the VIP club when they play their first poker hand and wager real money. Based on how much a member plays, the poker room determines his VIP Club level. Every cash game rake and tournament fee paid for entering Sit n Go and multi-table tournaments bring in VIP points.

There are six VIP levels at PokerStar – Supernova Elite (the most prestigious level), Supernova, Platinum Star, Gold Star, Silver Star and Bronze Star (the basic level). The more a player wagers, the higher a level he reaches in the club. The better the VIP level, the more will be the rewards. Some of the rewards that players can expect when they play at PokerStars are access to the VIP store, entry to VIP tournaments and the WCOOP Main Event, and special VIP Stellar Rewards.

Party Poker Premier League Poker V Announced

January 21, 2012

Party Poker just announced details about when and where the Party Poker Premier League Poker V will run. Party Poker decided that they would run the Premier League Poker V at the World Poker Tour in Vienna. The WPT Premier League V presented by PartyPoker.com will take place from April 4th – April 10th 2012 at the Montesino in Vienna. The buy-in for the event is a whopping $125,000 and only sixteen of the world’s best poker players will be allowed to participate in the Premier League Poker V.

How Will the Party Poker Premier League V Work?

Only 16 players will be able to play in the Premier League V and each player will need to pay the buy-in of $125,000. The players will be split up into two groups of 8 players. The 8 player groups will compete in four different sit and go tournaments. Players will earn points for placing in the sit and go tournaments and the top 3 players from each group will earn a spot on the final table. The 4th and 5th seeds in each group will play a best out of 3 heads-up match to determine who receives the 7th and 8th seat on the final table.

The final table is where players will have a chance to make the big bucks. There will be $200,000 added to the final table prize pool plus the winner of the final table at the Party Poker Premier League Poker V will receive a free seat into the huge $25,000 WPT World Championship tournament later this year in May. I’m sure the star studded line-up isn’t worried that much about the free seat into the WPT World Championships, but the bragging rights in this event are always a top priority for the players.

What Players Will Play in the Party Poker Premier League V?

Tony G will definitely be playing in the Premier League Poker V and I’m excited to watch him play again in this event. He always makes the event interesting with his antics at the poker table and I can’t wait to watch him. Luke Schwartz, Andy Frankenberger, Vanessa Selbst and Sam Trickett have already confirmed that they’ll be playing in the event as well this year. I’m sure the rest of the line-up will be familiar poker names and I’m excited to see who else decides to play in the Premier League V in April.

Vienna is going to be hosting thousands of poker players in April, as there are multiple events with big name appeal. Apart from the Premier League V running, the WPT Vienna Main Event will also run from April 10th – April 15th. Party Poker will also be hosting the Big Game VI for 48 consecutive hours from April 11th – April 13th.

Most of the action will be aired on Sky TV and will make its rounds through international broadcasters after the action is aired on Sky TV. Kara Scott will be covering the Premier League V and each heat will have four hours of coverage according to Party Poker.

Party Poker Rake Free Tournaments

January 1, 2012

Party Poker has already unveiled their 1st promotion to kick-off what should be a great 2012 for the poker room. For the past few days and until the end of January 2012 Party Poker will be offering rake free multi-table tournaments. Single table tournaments will still charge a rake throughout the month, but every single MTT at Party Poker will be rake free in January. Players will stay pay the tournament fee, but instead of Party Poker keeping the fee, the fee will be added directly into the prize pool.

This is a great promotion from Party Poker since everyone that plays in multi-table tournaments will benefit. A lot of online poker promotions only reward the top players, but this promotion is beneficial for everyone that plays in MTT’s at Party Poker. Players will have the chance to win more money playing in the MTT’s at Party Poker this month and in some of the big tournaments the money added to the prize pool can add up to a considerable amount of money.

Party Poker Reload Bonus

During the month of January poker players at Party Poker will also be able to claim a reload bonus. The Party Poker reload bonus is a 100% match bonus for up to $100. You need to make sure that you use the bonus code “RAKEFREE” when you make your deposit or else you won’t qualify for the reload bonus.

The reload bonus will be credited to your bonus balance initially, but every time you clear 10% of the bonus it’ll be deposited into your real money balance. You’ll need to earn 8 Party Points to clear every $1. You need to deposit a minimum of $50 when you use the bonus code or else you won’t receive any bonus from Party Poker, so keep that in mind while completing your transaction.

Party Poker $50K Depositor’s Freeroll

Most depositor freeroll tournaments are for new players only at most online poker rooms. However, this month players will be able to earn a seat into a $50K depositor’s freeroll just by completing a deposit of at least $50 while using the “RAKEFREE” code. Only 20,000 players will be able to play in the $50K Freeroll, so make sure you complete your reload deposit as soon as possible or else you may miss out on a seat in the freeroll. The $50K Freeroll will be hosted at Party Poker on February 5th 2012 at 11:00 ET.

Not only will poker players have the chance to play in rake free multi-table tournaments throughout the month of January, but they will also be able to earn a reload bonus and entry into a massive freeroll. Party Poker is kicking off 2012 with a huge bang and we think everyone should take advantage of this awesome promotion before the end of the month. There is a lot of other great stuff going on at Party Poker right now as well and I think Party Poker will be one of the best poker rooms to play with in 2012.
