Four Ambassadors Announced By Full Tilt Poker for UKIPT Tour

July 31, 2013

On the 24th of July, Full Tilt Poker made quite an interesting announcement regarding the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour Galway (UKIPT), which is scheduled to begin this week. The company announced to the public the names of its four ambassadors, who will be representing Full Tilt Poker on the tour. Sources feel that the timing of making this announcement isn’t quite coincidental with the company’s reopening. The UKIPT Galway will be Full Tilt Poker’s first ever sponsored poker festivals, after the company once again started regaining its status last year.

Four ambassadors will redefine poker site representation

As soon as this announcement was made, the Senior Manager of Celebrity, Pro and VIP Marketing at Full Tilt Poker, Mr. Dustin Iannotti made a press release. According to this, Iannotti said that the four ambassadors appointed by the online poker site will help in redefining what exactly poker site representation must be.

Dustin Iannotti continued to say that the four appointed players have been working with the company in order to develop and create new and exciting live experiences. These experiences are expected to leave the players at UKIPT Galway with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Martins Adeniya made his way online to become a full-time poker pro

The first ambassador chosen by Full Tilt Poker is Martins Adeniya, whose Twitter handle is @AceKingMartins. He is a University of Bath graduate and has a major in business. Like most other young poker players, Martins picked up poker while he was in school, and eventually ended up making his way up. He would mostly play No Limit Hold’em poker online and eventually made it big in the poker industry.

The important decision to become a full-time poker pro was made when Martins ended up third in the Main Event at FTOPS, with a $180,000 score. When it comes to achievements in live poker tournaments, Martins has at least 13 World Series of Poker cashes till date. Along with these, he owns four cashes from the European Poker Tour and one from the World Poker Tour.

Dermot Blain has a total winning of over 1.3 million dollars

The second player chosen as an ambassador for Full Tilt Poker in the UKIPT Galway is Dermot Blain, whose twitter handle is @DermotBlain. This poker player has till date won over 1.3 million dollars in live tournaments. These winnings include a $541,100 victory in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, which took place in the year 2009. He won the money by being a winner at the Macau Main Event at the same tour.

Dermot Blain ended up in fifth place in the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event in the year 2011, and earned over $367,362. This win was one among the six World Series of Poker cashes in his career. Along with this, he has about five European Poker Tour cashes, and three World Poker Tour cashes as well.

Ben Jenkins is associated with the poker industry since 2009

The third poker ambassador for Full Tilt Poker is Ben Jenkins, whose twitter handle is @FTPBenJenkins. He has been a professional poker player in the industry since the year 2009. Jenkins has also ended up making the final table in several important online poker tournaments. This includes even the PokerStars Sunday Warm-up tournament, in which he ended up with the winning prize money.

Sinem Melin is the only female ambassador

Full Tilt Poker ensured that they would be represented by the best players they had ever encountered and the fourth member of this representing group happened to be a woman. Sinem ‘Sin’ Melin, whose twitter handle is @SinTheMenis, is the only female group ambassador and has a list of achievements tagging her name.

Despite the fact that Melin has had quite a short live poker tournament career, she has made it to the final tables at quite a few events. These include the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour Brighton Main Event in the year 2011, along with the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour Main Event in London this year.

UKIPT Galway scheduled to begin on 27th July

The entire UKIPT Galway has begun on the 27th of July with its first of sixty events taking place on Saturday. This poker festival has tournaments falling in the buy-in ranges of €35 + €5 to €100 + €10. The entire series ends on 12th August.
