Poker Tournaments in July 2012

June 20, 2012

Although the World Series of Poker tournament in Vegas is still on and cruising at full speed, some of the other locations are also gearing up for hosting full fledged poker events. The big buy-in events like the Bellagio Cup and the Hustler Casino’s event, the Grand Slam, are expected to create as much excitement as the WSOP is creating.

Those of you who want to experience the thrill of a poker tournament and yet, make it a little less risky, can opt for the smaller buy in events like Summer Poker Rodeo, Mid-States Poker Tour, etc. The poker tournaments mentioned below are classified based on the region where they will be held.

The West

You have quite a few events in Los Angles with the Stripes Series and Bike’s Stars. The Stripes Series runs till July 13, 2012. From July 13 to 28, you can be a part of Hustler Casino’s Grand Slam.

If you can go by the reviews, you can attend the Summer Poker Rodeo in the Wildhorse Resort and Casino from July 18 to July 22. This event has a very good reputation of being one of the more enjoyable and fanciful events.

The World Series of Poker will continue till the middle of July in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event starts only on July 7. Poker Series at the Golden Nugget, Binion’s and Wynn will end early on in July. The Caesars Mega Stack and the Venetian Deep Stack will go on till the end of June’s 2nd week.

If you are in the Grand Sierra in Reno, you can participate in the Summer Pot of Gold Series held between July 19 and 29. If you are hoping to bid big, then the Bellagio Cup (July 3 to 18) is the place you need to be in.

From July 20 to August 4, the World Poker Open will be held in Tunica’s Gold Strike. There will be different levels of events held here, each having a different level of stake. You can pick the one which suits your preferences and capabilities.

The satellite events of Mid-States Poker Tour will be held in Iowa’s Meskwaki Resort and Casino. There is also a $300K guarantee event . Expect a crowd if you are planning to attend this event as it is one of the biggest money pools of the Mid-West.

The East

The east seems surprisingly quiet these days, considering Florida’s trend of hosting at least one event every month. But it is all set to change on July 8 when the Florida State Championship kicks off in Pompano Beach’s Isle Casino. This glamorous event will have a minimum entry fee of $230 which might go up to $5,300 for the major attraction. The vent will last till the July 29.

Central America and the Caribbean do not have any events this month and the same is true for Canada also. It is about time you sharpen and fine tune your gambling skills for an action and fun filled July.
