Pokerstars Micromillions is Back, Set to Begin This July

MicroMillions, the poker event with small buy-ins and big prizes, is all set to make a comeback this July. The event, which is one of the biggest poker tournaments after the WSOP and the WPT, will be taking place from July 12 to July 23, 2012.  It will feature a number of low-stake tournaments in Hold’em,Omahaand other poker variants through the 12 days. MicroMillions II is a great avenue to make some money through poker, especially if you are unable to be a part of the World Series of Poker events this year. The MicroMillions may not be as hot and happening as the WSOP, but it sure offers big prizes you cannot resist.

MicroMillions tentative schedule

The schedule for the MicroMillions II is not set right now, but here is a look at events you could probably take part in.

Texas Hold’em games

  • No limit Hold’em events with buy-ins ranging from as low as $0.11 and up to $5.50 will be held through the series. The tournaments are held in the Turbo, 2x-Turbo, 3x-Turbo, 6-max, Big Antes, 4-Max, Shootout, Knockout, Super Knockout and the Big Game formats. These events will be held during the length of the series, on different days.
  • Besides the NL Hold’em events, you will also be able to participate in a fixed limit Hold’em game on July 21. The buy-in for this event is expected to be just $3.30.
  • A Saturday Splash, special edition of a 3x Turbo NLH game will be held at 1:30 pm on July 14, while the $5.50 NLH 6-Max, Turbo, Knockout event will be on July 16.
  • The Sunday Spark Special Edition of the 3x Turbo $1+R NLH event will be held on July 15

Omaha games

A total of 10Omahaevents will take place during the 12 day MicroMillions festival at PokerStars. The events include –

  • the $8.80 Pot LimitOmahaon Friday, July 13
  • PL Omaha 6-Max, Turbo event for a buy-in of $3.30 on July 14
  • a 6-max PL Omaha game with a buy-in of $3.30, 2 Rebuys and an add-on, on July 16
  • $3.30 pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo on July 17 and 18
  • $2.20 PLO 3x-Turbo 6-Max event on July 19, and a $5.50 6-max event on July 21
  • an Omaha Hi/Lo 6-max 3xTurbo event on July 22. This event has a buy-in of $3.30

Other poker variants

Besides Texas Hold’em andOmaha, the other poker variants you can play at the MicroMillions include stud poker, razz and HORSE. The events include –

  • a $4.40 fixed limit Razz game on July 16
  • a $3.30 fixed limit Stud Hi/Lo poker on July 15, and a $3.30 FL stud game on July 17. There is also a FL Triple Stud game for a buy-in of $3.30 on July 19.
  • a $8.80 HORSE event on July 13
  • a $3.30 8 Game on July 22
  • a 2-7 Triple draw game with a buy-in of $3.30 on July 20
  • a fixed limit Badugi game with  buy-in of $3.30 on July 18
