The team of the soon to be released documentary, Bet Raise Fold, has achieved in almost a blink of an eye, its goal for their fund drive program on The fund raising target of $20,000 was reached within 24 hours of the launch of the program. The money collected through this drive is to be used for paying the license fees of the music and the video that has been used in the movie, for paying contractors and for renting a booth in the Poker capital, Las Vegas, where clips from the film will be played on a mounted television.

According to one of the makers of the film, Jay Rosenkrantz, these funds will be utilized towards the distribution of the film which the team wants to go well beyond the Poker playing community. The ultimate aim of the drive is to put across the true story of Poker, in front of as large an audience as possible.

A documentary on the online poker industry in the US

The documentary aims at telling the Poker rise and fall story from the angle of the Poker players themselves. It claims to throw light on the evolution of the online Poker community, the culture followed in the poker community and the effects of the Black Friday on the lives of poker players all around the United States. This film tells the story of how the American dream was imbibed in the basic essence of this game, how the risk takers were dedicatedly chasing their dream, when suddenly the dream itself was snatched away.

One of the most important aims of the film is to break the misconceptions about Poker, and to let people know the truth about Poker players, their culture, and strategies. The documentary wishes to explain the various events that lead to the fall of the industry, and some true aftermaths and effects of it.

Black Friday – a dark period of the online poker industry in the US

Now their only dream is to take this so-called true story to as many people as possible. One of the filmmakers, Jay Rosenkrantz, who is also a well-known poker player, informed that the team plans to use extra collections to expand further, the reach of this film.
